A Year of Gelatin Printing: FAQs
Q: I’m an experienced gelli printer. Why do I have to take the pre-requisite class?
A: The course is designed for you to be successful. “Simple Acrylic Paint Monoprints” provides a shared foundation for all of us – a vocabulary that we share. I often refer to technique or ideas from that workshop in the later workshops. It’s important that we’re all on the same page.
Q: What do I get in each workshop?
A: A series of gelatin printing technique videos AND a series of videos teaching you how to make a book form, like the one you see above.
Q: Is there just one video each month?
A: No! There are tons of video tutorials each month. The first month (February) alone has NINETEEN video tutorials! There are almost 200 videos in the entire 13-month course!
Q: Do I have to take all 13 months?
A: Nope. You are welcome to pick and choose which workshops you want to take. However, “Simple Acrylic Paint Monoprints” is a pre-requisite for all the other workshops.
Q: Is there a deadline to sign up? Will the class still be available later in the year?
A: No deadline. You can sign up any time and get immediate access to any of the workshops that have already dropped.
Q: Who is this class best for?
A: Three types of people: (1) gelli-curious – those who haven’t used a gelatin plate that much and aren’t sure what the fuss is about, (2) gelli-frustrated – those who aren’t getting the results they want, and (3) gelli-lovers – those who love the gelatin plate and want more, more, more!
Q: Where can I find a supply list?
A: In the online classroom, the welcome unit of each workshop has a complete supply list.
