What Would You Like to Learn?
What would you like to learn today?
Art Journaling
Few things have changed my life more than art journaling. Art journaling is a space for practice. It's a space to explore and experiment and expand what you can do. It's a space to make mistakes, dump your feelings, and express joy. Art journaling is for everyone.
Printmaking
Gelatin printing, stenciling, stamp carving, block printing, monoprints, monotypes, chine-collé, screen printing…there are so many fabulous printmaking techniques to explore. Whether you're a dabbler or a serious printmaker, the beauty of printmaking is that you can great results at any stage, but there's always something new to learn!
Collage
Collage can be its own art form or it can be a way for painters and sculpters and quilters to think and work out ideas. So grab your scissors and glue and lets dive into collage together!
Painting
I have been teaching art classes for almost twenty years, helping thousands of students develop their skills. I am known for being both supportive and practical, emphasizing process over perfection. I help students build confidence in their artistic voice.
Mixed Media Techniques
What is mixed media? It's mixing two or more types of media or artistic disciplines together. Do you like to paint on fabric and then stitch over it? That's mixed media. Do you like to collage a background, screen print on top it, and then draw over that? That's mixed media too. What kind of mixed media do you want to do?
Art Foundations
Art skills like color mixing and composition are considered art foundations. A good foundation (for a house or an artwork) is key to the success of the project. I make learning big concepts and ideas both practical and accessible.
Bookbinding
Making your own books is fun! This is not about museum quality perfection, but rather easy-to-make books that aren't too precious to use or sell or give away.
ScanNCut
I spent almost a decade as the spokesperson for the Brother ScanNCut. I have a deep knowledge of the machine. If you're interested in learning about your machine, and creating unique projects with it, you're in the right place.
An In-Person Class
There's nothing like being around people who get you. An in-person class is a wonderful opportunity to learn and share and connect with other creative folks. Join me in the real world!
Building & Maintaining
an Art Practice
An art practice is a system. It's a training program to get you the results that you want. But much like fitness, it's not a one-size-fits-all situation. My Art Practice is an online community and classroom that will help you create and maintain an art practice that works for you.
